A disgrace came to cable television. That's exactly what it was, a disgrace. Channel 60, on my local cable network was new. But it was a nightmare to me. Yet another NBC channel, this one is twice as horrid as the great MS itself. If you're wondering what MS is, it's Microsoft. MSNBC. Microsoft National Broadcasting Corporation. Ugg, every time they talk about the internet, they show pictures of a windoze machine. A windows machine, never a Macintosh, just windows. Where do they get off on having their own TV station? Man, this really angers me. But the other day when I turned on MSNBC in the morning, a reporter was web surfing with a huge monitor. The huge monitor displayed the greatest of all, a Macintosh running Netscape. That made my day for MSNBC, so I've decided to watch only the shows that have Macintosh computers being used. That's about most of them so far, so be sure to check it out for yourself. Apple up
On a lighter note, Apple has been looking up in the money world. Their third quarter ended with a $32 million loss, which was expected to be a $135 to $200 million loss. Could this be because of the movies? Gil boy meets book
Gil Amelio is taking the Bill Gates road it seems. Gil is writing another book. The new one is expected to be about his life so far at Apple, and word is that Gil's publishers are looking forward to it also. Gil already has one book out, it deals with his experience at National Semiconductor. Apple officials say that they are hoping Gil will finish his remodling at Apple before he strays off to write a book.
